NJ HYATT REGENCY INDIAN WEDDING : NIMALI + MAYOOR

Namili and Mayoor are one of those couples who met and just knew.  Knew deep down inside that they were meant to be together forever.   On their first date at Mesa Grill, Mayoor looked across the table at a quiet, yet confident, Nimali and envisioned what forever would be like. A year together only helped confirm the feeling Mayoor had recognized early on. Being the romantic he is, Mayoor took Nimali back to Mesa Grill on New Years Eve and asked her to be his wife.  Nimali excitedly agreed and started planning their wedding at the beautiful Hyatt Regency in Jersey City, NJ.

I am so excited to share this fabulous wedding!  A big thanks goes out to Studio Nine for inviting me along as a second shooter.  It was great working with you and I hope we will cross paths again soon!

Nimali started out the morning with a cup of coffee and a personal hair and make-up artist.  Isn't this every girl's dream?

Nimali's bridesmaids enjoyed a complete pampering as well!

Applying the bridal jewels.
Nimali's henna was intricate and flawless.
Wrapping the sari around the bride.

Nimali and Mayoor chose to do a first look!  This is where the bride and groom agree to see each other before the ceremony, allowing plenty of time for pictures of the couple together.
It was emotional for both of them.

After the first look, we headed down to the water for pictures!
The stunning New York City skyline was the backdrop to their special day.

A big thanks to Sonal J. Shah Event Consultants for putting together such a beautiful event!

Sacred ceremony held before the start of the wedding.

Nimali, you are a GORGEOUS bride!
At 3:00 pm, Nimali was ready to walk down the aisle.

The couple's friends and family looked on with smiles as Nimali and Mayoor completed the series of religious ceremonies and rituals of the traditional Hindu wedding.

During Madhuparka Vidhi, Mayoor shared the nectars with Nimali.

During Granthi Bandhan, Nimali and Mayoor were tied together to signify their union.  They are now man and wife!
After the ceremony, guests headed up to cocktail hour on a large deck overlooking the city skyline.  Thanks to Moghul Catering for providing the delicious food!

As the sun went down, Nimali and Mayoor made their grand entrance into the Manhattan Ballroom to share their first dance.  (Thanks to Joe Molieri for capturing the beautiful picture above.)  After a night filled with drinks, dancing, and fireworks over the Hudson River, Nimali and Mayoor slipped off together, ready to start the next chapter of their lives as husband and wife.  Congratulations to you both!  Your wedding day was perfect in every way.
